Art Requirements
Good art in, good art out. Take the time now to ensure your artwork will produce a great final product. All artwork must be submitted in Illustrator (.ai) or Photoshop (.psd) format at least 300 dpi. If created in Photoshop please send artwork with layers and sized up to the final print.
If created in Illustrator, please make sure text is converted to outlines. We also accept the following files: .pdf, .eps, or .tiff. We will not proceed with the order if artwork is of poor quality.
Print Ready Artwork
We accept artwork in the following formats:
Raster files* – .psd .png .jpg
Vector files – .ai .pdf .eps .svg
* Raster files must be 300 DPI at print size or larger.
Vector vs. Raster
If your artwork is able to be created in vector, please do so. Vector files are a math equation and can keep sharp resolution. As we prefer PDFs since they directly work with our print software for printing the film positives.
Raster is a pixel base format and has to be set up to the final size with a high resolution of 300DPI. If you don’t know what you are doing in Photoshop or illustrator you can hire us to help with the artwork or you can hire a different graphic designer that can create your artwork as well. It will save you time and money. Artwork charges vary based upon the complexity of your design. Prices for graphic design start at a minimum of $50 per half-hour. If your art is not print ready (anything more than 30 mins we have to spend fixing a file is considered not print ready.)
